Chief Executive Officer
Halcyon
Halcyon works with early-stage, impact-driven entrepreneurs who drive innovative, market-based solutions in Climate, Health, and EquityTech. Through our global accelerator programs, we guide founders in product-market fit, capital strategy, and leadership development.
Since 2014, the organization has supported 652 founders and 440 ventures representing 54 countries. Collectively, Halcyon-supported ventures have raised more than $962 million in capital. The organization has also maintained a strong commitment to supporting entrepreneurs from backgrounds that have historically faced barriers to accessing capital and networks: 63% of Halcyon ventures are led or co-led by women or non-binary founders, and 86% are led or co-led by founders of color.
The next CEO will have the opportunity to shape what Halcyon becomes next; honoring what has been built while bringing the vision, relationships, resources, and leadership needed to expand its reach and impact.
A critical part of this role will be the ability to tell Halcyon's story powerfully and authentically, connecting its mission, entrepreneurs, outcomes, and future vision in ways that inspire donors, partners, entrepreneurs, staff, and the broader community to engage and invest.
Halcyon is open to exceptional leaders from a range of professional backgrounds. More important than a traditional career path is the ability to bring together vision, fundraising, storytelling, relationship-building, organizational leadership, and execution.
The role is ideally based in Washington DC, but we welcome national candidates with the possibility of a remote work arrangement.
The expected salary is between $200,000-250,000 USD. Halcyon's generous benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; up to 3% retirement matching; holiday, sick, and vacation time, including a week off between Christmas and New Years; flexible work accommodations; and professional development opportunities.
Halcyon is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every team member is valued, respected, and able to contribute fully. We believe diverse perspectives and experiences strengthen our organization and our ability to advance our mission.
Halcyon provides equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and employees and is committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and bias. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, experience, performance, and organizational needs, consistent with applicable law.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining a talented and diverse team.
