About the Job
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to complete the existing investment team in Cali, Colombia. The Analyst will work on all aspects of the investment process from pipeline sourcing to due diligence and investment monitoring.
Specific responsibilities include:
a) Participate in all parts of the investment process including but not limited to: conducting detailed market and country analysis, performing due diligence on pipeline companies, preparing investment memos and recommendations, and contributing to investment decisions;
b) Help monitor the current investment portfolio, and provide management support to portfolio companies through the holding period to actively manage and mitigate risks;
c) Help maintain, prepare, and present detailed investment documentation on the Latin American portfolio companies for FairCapital Management;
d) Support FairCapital consulting activities in the region, and develop strong relations with portfolio and pipeline companies, clients etc;
e) Support the FairCapital partners in Switzerland with varied tasks
a) 4-year degree in a relevant field (finance, business, economics)
b) 1+ years work experience in financial analysis, investment management, venture capital or financial consulting, preferably with exposure to the agriculture sector
c) Strong financial acumen including accounting, valuation skills, and Excel modelling;
d) Excellent writing and communication skills in Spanish and English.
e) Strong interpersonal skills with a good aptitude for pro-active communication and transparency, patience and perseverance;
f) Entrepreneurial team-player with the ability to work independently in Colombia
