About the Job

Summary Description:
The objective of this position is to guide identification and analysis of social impact investment opportunities in securing sources of investing capital from private and public models, and other similar vehicles to support local Catholic Charities agencies in their efforts to develop and implement alternative business strategies, including social ventures/social enterprise endeavors that achieve CCUSA’s Strategic Plan and national initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of models for new financial vehicles to address market gaps identified by Strategic Priority VPs, ‘Communities of Practice’ and CCUSA’s Executive Leadership
  • Develop and manage relationships with co-investors and other strategic partners
  • Prepare proposals and presentations in support of CCUSA’s Strategic Plan and special initiatives that will assist the member agencies in their social enterprise/alternative business initiatives
  • Position CCUSA as a strategic thought leader in the arena of social impact investing by participation in presentations at select Impact Investing conferences and industry events
  • Consult with local member agencies to develop agency-wide guidance on investment systems and processes in creating business plans that clearly define goals, objectives, performance standards, and budgets investors will require
  • Oversee the development and implementation of monitoring and reporting mechanisms for impact investing activities; ensure dissemination of results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ongoing networking with key individuals representing companies, organizations, and social impact investing providers to build relationships that produce opportunities for the Network
  • Stay current on regulatory developments regarding forms of investment opportunities
  • Oversee the development and delivery of tools, guidelines and learning resources to build Catholic Charities’ Network staff capacity in private sector engagement and impact investing
  • Exercise significant leadership in CCUSA’s work to reduce poverty in America through a willingness to understand, respect and contribute to the mission, while promoting its Catholic identity

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in business development, business management or related field – Masters preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Impact Investing
  • Experience with debt and equity financing strongly preferred
