Director, Portfolio Management

About the Job

In this role, you will lead the team that is responsible for managing and growing the companies in the Enoch Capital Partners portfolio. You will need strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a team working on multiple initiatives across multiple companies, countries and sectors. This includes:

Pre-deal: *Assessing growth potential and identifying growth constraints of deals under consideration *Assessing the current social and environmental impact of potential investments; developing hypotheses and strategies to enhance impact post-investment *Working with the Enoch deal team to develop investment hypotheses, deal structures and perform due diligence *Building the foundation for a successful long-term relationship with the leadership of the portfolio company
Post-deal: *Working with the entrepreneurs to turn the growth strategy into an operational plan, including a detailed, high-impact “First 100-Days” plan *Working with the entrepreneurs to create and implement an impact enhancement strategy *Supporting and assisting the portfolio company leadership as they implement the growth and impact plans *Building local capacity to sustain long-term growth and impact *Helping portfolio company leadership solve problems as they arise *Ensuring the portfolio companies hit performance milestones *Managing portfolio reporting and ensuring timely reports from portfolio companies *On-going relationship management


While there isn’t any one educational or professional background that best prepares you for a fulfilling career at Enoch Capital Partners, we typically look for the following qualifications: *Advanced graduate degree (MBA, PhD, MPA, etc.) and exceptional academic record *4-6 years of experience in management / strategy consulting or other business-related consulting and project management *Business development and relationship-management experience *Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing *Understanding of the investment industry and current market trends *Experience in consulting or impact investing in emerging markets is highly desired *Entrepreneurial and creative mindset *Exceptional people skills *Exceptional strategic, analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills *Exceptional organizational skills, ambition, and ability to multi-task *Exceptional analytical and insight generation abilities *Proven ability to coach and direct highly intelligent teams *Expertise in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) *Must be a fundamentally good person (no jerks need apply!)
