About the Job

We are looking for a Senior Wealth Manager based in our New York City office.
The Senior Wealth Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee the management of client relationships and execution of impact wealth management services in line with the best practices established by Veris Wealth Partners. The Senior Wealth Manager will serve as the lead advisor for clients assigned to them and play a key role in growing the New York office with new clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical foundation and current economic and market perspective, as well as an authentic passion for sustainability issues and helping clients have an impact with their wealth. They will have the experience and aptitude to help clients in all stages of wealth management and life stages to articulate their impact and financial goals, and to construct and implement portfolios to meet those goals in a way that aligns with their values.
In addition to serving as a lead advisor, they will play an important leadership role in our New York office, and be asked to supervise, develop, and mentor members of the team.

Qualifications

Core Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and Co-Lead Client Relationships
✓ Work with clients to develop and implement their wealth management plan
✓ Co-lead or serve as a support Wealth Manager for certain clients.
✓ Advise clients on appropriate portfolio allocations to meet their financial and impact investing
objectives
✓ Deliver high level of wealth management services in coordination with the client’s tax, estate,
and other advisors
✓ Conduct quarterly, bi-annual, or annual review meetings to consult with clients regarding their
current objectives, progress on requested services, and portfolio performance
✓ Rebalance and recommend portfolio changes in client portfolios as needed
✓ Monitor client accounts and transactions
✓ Proactively communicate with clients to maintain strong relationships
✓ Respond to client inquiries and oversee all service needs of clients
✓ Communicate with clients as needed due to markets changes

New Client Acquisition
✓ Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients
✓ Lead and support the process for prospects to become clients ✓ Create customized proposals for prospective clients
✓ Develop and communicate with potential referral sources

Supervision
✓ Supervise client service associates

Other
✓ Expand wealth management knowledge through ongoing education
✓ Expand impact investing knowledge through ongoing education
✓ Mentor, train and develop support team and contribute to their success
✓ Participate in the Veris Investment Working Group
✓ Participate in the Veris Sales Strategy Committee
✓ Follow all firm compliance procedures

Education/Experience/Skills
✓ Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field preferred
CFP, CIMA, CFA, or progress towards a certification preferred
✓ Minimum of 5 years work experience in wealth management
✓ Minimum of 2 years work experience as lead advisor
✓ Prior experience managing large and complex family and/or institutional relationships preferred
✓ Knowledge and experience with impact investing products and solutions preferred
✓ Knowledge and experience with financial planning, cashflow planning, trusts, intergenerational
wealth planning, and retirement planning preferred

✓ Knowledge and experience with portfolio construction, IPS development, asset allocation, manager selection, and monitoring preferred
✓ Demonstrated commitment to impact investing and/or the advancement of environmental and social sustainable practices
✓ Demonstrated aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis
✓ Demonstrated strength and experience leading, mentoring and developing others
✓ Demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing new business
✓ Strong oral and written communication skills
✓ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel preferred
✓ Experience with Fidelity Wealthscape, Schwab Institutional, Envestnet, and

Salesforce preferred
✓ Exceptional interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation will be determined by a number of factors including educational background and experience. Veris Wealth Partners has a generous benefits package including health, disability and life insurance, and the opportunity to participate in the firm’s 401k retirement plan.
