SUMMER ASSOCIATE –BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Acumen is looking for a Summer Associate to support the fundraising and communications work of our Pakistan team. If you have experience developing a systemic fundraising strategy and are driven to change the impact investment space in Pakistan, this is the role for you. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with strong written communication skills, solid experience in fundraising, and a proven commitment to tackling global poverty.

Responsibilities

The Summer Associate will help the Pakistan team develop a systematic fundraising strategy that leverages Acumen’s core functions of investment in companies, people and ideas to create prosperity and dignity for all. A key aspect of this initiative would be to work on developing a fundraising strategy for Acumen, which focuses on large corporate companies.

More specifically, you may have the opportunity to:
+ Develop a fundraising strategy focusing on corporates and Pakistani diaspora in the US, UK and the Middle East
+ Craft Acumen Pakistan’s strategy narrative; work on brand building and increasing visibility
+ Create a coherent narrative around impact investing in Pakistan, and Acumen’s ten year investment history and the leadership program

Qualifications

Qualifications & Characteristics *Minimum qualifications:
+ First-year MBA or equivalent candidate
+ Strong ability to take initiative with research and analysis and produce valuable results in conditions of uncertainty
+ Capability to present complex ideas coherently to senior management and advisors

The ideal candidate will also meet the following criteria:
+ International work experience
+ Prior experience on fund raising
+ Familiarity with the social enterprise sector
